Minister of State for Media Affairs, the official spokesperson for the government, Sakher Dudin, on Thursday met with a number of talk-show hosts and local radio programs producers at the Prime Ministry.
The discussions tackled a slew of local issues, primarily His Majesty King Abdullah II’s recent visit to Washington, and contents of His Majesty’s speech at the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, which focused on Palestinian cause and the importance of preserving the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.
The meeting also went over the government’s economic action priorities program 2021-2023, and the ministerial delegation’s visit to the United States to present this projected scheme, in addition to highlighting the government’s vision to improve the services level in the health sector.
Dudin, speaking at the meeting, said the government is proceeding with procedures to resume in-class education in universities next month, adding that a campaign will be launched by the National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM), in cooperation with the Ministry of Health to increase the number of centers designated to administer Covid-19 vaccines at universities.
With regard to Jordan’s epidemiological situation, Dudin said the plan to open the sectors (a safe summer) has paid off in terms of vaccinating more than 3 million people with the second dose, pointing out that the government hopes that the number of double jabbed recipients will increase during the coming period to 4.5 million.
