Jordan on Tuesday will be affected by a warm and dry air mass, pushing mercury levels well above annual average by 8-10 degrees and bringing warm weather in the highlands and the plains, and relatively hot conditions in other parts of the Kingdom, with southeasterly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust in the Badia areas.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), temperatures will dip few degrees on Wednesday, but similar weather conditions will continue to persist, with northwesterly moderate to active winds.
On Thursday, a further drop in mercury is expected, so fair and spring-like weather will prevail in the hilly areas and the plains, while it will be warm in other regions, the JMD added.
Temperatures in Amman today will reach a high of 30 degrees Celsius, dropping to 17C at night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a high of 38C, dipping to 23C during night hours.
